This class was held in a 12,000 square foot kill house out in Los Angeles, and was hosted by 3 special forces instructors. This was a no ammo training event, because they wanted to drill us with the fundamentals of room clearing. There were several topics including in this seminar; two/four-man teams, movement to entry points, single room, line up, fatal funnel, dominating the room just to name a few. This was a full 8 hours of intense stacking and room clearing and was super informative.
I could write a book on everything that we learned that day, but the purpose of the blog post was to encourage everyone who is remotely interesting in firearms to get out there and get some training. Whether it be tactical room clearing training, or just getting basic handgun/rifle/shotgun training. Any training you get will make you better off than you were before you stepped foot into that classroom. Every bit of knowledge gained and every bit of fundamentals that seeps into your muscle memory will make you a better shooter. So in the end I strongly suggest going out and searching for training. For ZERT training you don’t have to be a member to join up. I encourage you to look at their training schedule and see you like anything they have.
