Function testing this new magazine found the loading to be easier than most other mags on the market without the use of a speedloader. Followed by the smooth fit and lock up into my G17 was continuing the awesome train. The load indicator at 17 rounds is nice to know, although as previously mentioned the lack of round count on the back of the mag is a downer for most Glock fans. The orange follower is also a bonus. Having this is an added bonus with new shooters as it makes a good visual indicator for empty. Once again, still impressed as we continue with our tests...
And then it hits me. The magazine, as I dropped it full of ammo to the floor onto my foot. And nothing. No issues, no failures, and no defects to be found. A few more “accidental” drops found that no matter what, these magazines did not want to fail. Several mag changes, reloads and firing sequences found these to be quite exceptional. For the price of these magazines, you could not find better quality short of factory Glock mags. For any Glock users or those of us that use these in a carbine platform, they are quite worth the money. The only thing I would hope to see in the future would be, as with the rest of the Magpul products, multiple colors. And perhaps the speedplates that were released for the G series mags before.
Until next time, Keep shooting and be safe.
